FAQ

WHAT DOSE IS RIGHT FOR ME?

It varies from person to person. As a loose guideline, we recommend 5-20 mg per dose and anywhere from 20-200 mg per day. CBD is a very safe substance, but patients taking other medications should check with their doctor about drug interactions.

WHAT IS CBD?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a naturally occurring compound found in the cannabis sativa hemp plant. It is a non-intoxicating component of the cannabis plant with enormous therapeutic potential. CBD products are used by physician's to treat a wide range of conditions—chronic pain, cancer, Crohn’s, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, PTSD, cardiovascular disease, anxiety, antibiotic-resistant infections, multiple sclerosis, schizophrenia, and more. CBD is known to have strong anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant, anti-depressant, anti-psychotic, anti-tumoral, and neuro-protective qualities.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CBD AND THC?

CBD and THC are different compounds found in hemp. However, CBD does not cause the "high" commonly associated with THC. Maple Plus CBD concentrates are carefully chosen and tested for their zero THC content to ensure that our customers do not have to worry about the unwanted effects of THC.

DO I NEED A MEDICAL MARIJUANA CARD?

You do not need a medical marijuana card or a doctor's recommendation to purchase and consume CBD. We advise you to consult your physician before taking CBD-containing supplements though (see below, What Dose Is Right For Me?).

WILL CBD MAKE ME FEEL "HIGH?"

No. You will not experience a "high" feeling. CBD is non-psychoactive.

WILL CBD MAKE ME FAIL A DRUG TEST?

Drug tests that test for cannabis use typically test for THC, and are not known to test positive for other non-intoxicating cannabinoids such as CBD.

ARE CBD AND OTHER HEMP PRODUCT LEGAL?

Our product is legal in all 50 states. Our product is legal because it is derived from hemp and contains zero THC. Other THC-containing hemp products may not be legal in your state, so we advise you to consult your local area's regulations.

DRUG INTERACTIONS?

At sufficient dosages, CBD will temporarily deactivate cytochrome P450 enzymes, thereby altering how we metabolize a wide range of compounds. Cytochrome P450 enzymes assist in the metabolization of many prescription pharmaceutical medications. CBD is a more potent inhibitor of cytochrome P450 than the grapefruit compound Bergapten, so ask your doctor if grapefruit interacts with your medication. If grapefruit does, then CBD probably does, too.
